“Ultimately, having meaningful, supportive relationships with your team members is going to have the biggest impact”, says Dina Armstrong, Business Unit Leader. “That’s why we strive to get to know everyone we work with: consultants, clients, and internal team members. It’s truly a friends first approach. With happy hours, lunches, and other in-person events, our organization creates plenty of opportunities for face-to-face interaction. Our goal is to call all of our clients and consultants at least once a week.”
“It’s pretty standard to have organizational values or principles”, explains Chris Kronzer, Director of Strategic Accounts. “But for those values or principles to be meaningful, an organization’s team has to fully commit to them. That means taking those values into account for both big decisions and small ones.”
“For example, two of Signature’s values are integrity and honesty,” continues Kronzer. “If something happens that a client or consultant needs to know about, we’re going to tell them—even if it’s not going to be a pleasant conversation.”
However, that’s not the only type of situation that requires integrity and honesty. Maybe an employee is on the fence about holding a coworker accountable, or another is not sure how to share a mistake he made. Although these scenarios are a little less black-and-white, we believe it’s important to consistently use our principles to guide our decisions.

About the Survey
Over 150 staffing firms took part in the program this year, conducted for Staffing Industry Analysts by Quantum Workplace, an independent research firm specializing in employee engagement. Internal employees and consultants at each firm were asked to complete a 40-question online survey that measured ten key engagement categories, including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation, and benefits. The survey was open to any staffing firm operating in the U.S., U.K., and Canada and was confidential and anonymous.
