Signature Consultants Recognized as One of the “Best Staffing Firms to Work For” for the Sixth Consecutive Year.

Have you ever looked at a list of “Best Companies” and wondered what working there was actually like? What actually makes a company one of the best places in the city, industry, or nation to work?

At Signature Consultants, we think about this question a lot. Since the company was founded in 1997, our team has been focused on creating and maintaining a culture built on always striving to do the right thing. We also take the time to ask questions and learn about other companies and their cultures.

Here are a few of the takeaways that we believe align with our values:

Catered lunches, gorgeous offices, in-office massages, and dry-cleaning—those perks are great, but they can only go so far. Can you imagine waking up and thinking, “Man, I can’t wait to get to work today. The dry-cleaning service is coming by!”

“Ultimately, having meaningful, supportive relationships with your team members is going to have the biggest impact”, says Dina Armstrong, Business Unit Leader. “That’s why we strive to get to know everyone we work with: consultants, clients, and internal team members. It’s truly a friends first approach. With happy hours, lunches, and other in-person events, our organization creates plenty of opportunities for face-to-face interaction. Our goal is to call all of our clients and consultants at least once a week.”

Consistent Values

“It’s pretty standard to have organizational values or principles”, explains Chris Kronzer, Director of Strategic Accounts. “But for those values or principles to be meaningful, an organization’s team has to fully commit to them. That means taking those values into account for both big decisions and small ones.”

“For example, two of Signature’s values are integrity and honesty,” continues Kronzer. “If something happens that a client or consultant needs to know about, we’re going to tell them—even if it’s not going to be a pleasant conversation.”

However, that’s not the only type of situation that requires integrity and honesty. Maybe an employee is on the fence about holding a coworker accountable, or another is not sure how to share a mistake he made. Although these scenarios are a little less black-and-white, we believe it’s important to consistently use our principles to guide our decisions.

If you’ve ever had a job you could perform on autopilot, you know how unrewarding—and frankly, boring—it is. People want projects and tasks that require effort, creativity, and enthusiasm; after all, it’s impossible to progress without being challenged.

“Having high standards for our employees benefits everyone,” shares Nicole Suarez, Senior Account Manager. “Our team members are highly engaged and constantly learning, and because of this, our clients receive fantastic work.”

“Feeling like you’re having an impact is another critical factor in loving your company,” explains Mark Nussbaum, COO. “We encourage and foster a sense of ownership in every single one of our employees. In the end, culture belongs to the employees, not the company.”

Signature Consultants is honored to be recognized as one of the “Best Staffing Firms to Work For” for the sixth year in a row, and credits this significant accomplishment to their emphasis on being nice to each other. Since their inception in 1997, Signature set out to create a company that cared more about people than profits—a philosophy that continues to permeate throughout the entire company.

“A special appreciation goes out to each and every internal employee and Consultant,” says Jay Cohen, Founder and CEO of Signature Consultants. “Thank you for living our values, building meaningful relationships, and making an impact. Your everyday actions are the driving force that makes Signature a great place to work.”

About the Survey

Over 150 staffing firms took part in the program this year, conducted for Staffing Industry Analysts by Quantum Workplace, an independent research firm specializing in employee engagement. Internal employees and consultants at each firm were asked to complete a 40-question online survey that measured ten key engagement categories, including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation, and benefits. The survey was open to any staffing firm operating in the U.S., U.K., and Canada and was confidential and anonymous.
