Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Agile Coach for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.


  • Advise and engage at various leadership levels to drive Agile leadership principles
  • Contribute to the development and sharing of lean-Agile best practices
  • Formal teaching via classroom curriculum and workshops
  • Help teams and programs identify improvement opportunities through Agile ceremonies
  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other Agile roles on Agile practices, processes and, behaviors, such as continuous integration and test-driven development
  • Provide hands-on coaching to managers, support organizations, and individual teams in all aspects of Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Support Agile transformations on both small- and large-development programs

Required Abilities/Experiences/Skills:

  • Ability to:
    • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Release Train Engineers
    • Coach Scrum and Kanban teams
    • Coach teams with PI Planning, System Demo, and Inspect & Adapt, as well as make recommendations for improvements
    • Conduct workshops (User Story, Feature Writing, and Program Kanban)
    • Curate Agile content to support InfoSec Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE)
    • Identify value streams and support teams in identifying and documenting their VSM
    • Lead Agile at scale (creating networks of teams: program and portfolio level teams)
    • Monitor organizational progress toward an Agile transformation
    • Recommend metrics at the team and program level
    • Setup and launch Agile Release Trains
    • Train teams to navigate Agile principles and practices
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 5 years in Agile projects using SPC
  • Advanced Agile Certification(s): Advanced Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
  • Advanced knowledge of coaching at the team level
  • Held prior Agile Transformation Coach or Agile Coaching role
  • Previous experience in an Advanced Scrum Master role
  • Prior exposure or direct experience with large organizational Agile transformations
  • Working knowledge of Agile governance
  • Working knowledge of backlog management tool (Azure DevOps [ADO] or JIRA)
  • Working knowledge of lean practices and principles
  • Working knowledge of SAFe core competencies

Preferred Abilities/Experiences/Skills:

  • Ability to:
    • Communicate persuasively and interact with all levels of leadership (including Executive)
    • Effectively communicate the Agile practices and principles and instill best practices
    • Effectively identify and support change management
  • Additional SAFe certifications
  • Advanced facilitation skills
  • Experience working in IT or Information Security
  • Prior experience supporting Agile Community of Practice (CoP)
  • Understands and practices servant leadership
  • Working knowledge of aligning business, organizational, and technology architecture in an Agile transformation
