Automation Engineer- Med Device

Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Automation Engineer- Med Device for an opportunity with a client located in Saint Louis Park, MN.

Responsibilities

• Work cross functionally to analyze System and Software requirements, determining testability, completeness, and consistency
• Perform ripple effect analysis for requirements and design level changes using technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques as they relate to software testing
• Develop test protocols by performing in-depth requirements analysis
• Assess the need to automate tests and develop either automated or manual test scripts
• Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirements
• Execute automated and manual test protocols following established procedures and capturing appropriate objective evidence
• Report and investigate observations and defects, working with other members of the development team to establish root cause and options for correction
• Provide and manage traceability evidence between requirements, tests and risk documentation
• Follow established standard operating procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of similar experience, including software testing and verification experience and/or software development experience
• Experience with automated software test tools and techniques on desktop, mobile and/or cloud-based systems such as Selenium, Aligned Elements, Appium, and/or other automated and manual test management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership
• Proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Advanced level degree in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Medical device experience, especially active implantable or Class III devices
• Familiarity with FDA regulation part 820 and/or standard ISO 13485
• Experience working in an Agile development methodology utilizing Jira
• Demonstrated experience documenting software requirements and writing well defined, thorough test designs
