Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Business Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Des Moines, IA. The Senior Business Analyst role is a hands on position that takes ownership of a project's success. Success in this position requires a self-starter who supports the project through the entire project life cycle. This is a senior level role for which the candidate will have a demonstrated ability to successfully support multiple projects simultaneously.


  • Support projects from planning to conclusion including: Scoping, Requirements definition, Development, Testing, Communication/Training, Implementation and Hypercare
  • Work with internal business partners, external vendors, IT staff and other stakeholders to define or refine requirements, specifications, and logical flowcharts for system implementations and enhancements
  • Drive out details on user needs and workflow to enable effective solutions
  • Document requirements in a way that is complete, executable, testable, and not ambiguous
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships
  • Serve as an expert in, and, facilitate strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflow needs associated with business systems for the company
  • Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems
  • Collaborate with Business Process Architects to understand current processes and determine and document future state processes related to the system enhancements
  • Validate complex requirements, including functional validation and traceability
  • Facilitate consensus among stakeholders including issue resolution, negotiation and conflict management
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of standards, best practices, methodologies, and frameworks associated with the finance industry, business analysis, and the IT discipline
  • Regularly and consistently demonstrate Bank values
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business or related field is strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in IT-Analysis related positions including compliance, business analysis, and business process improvement
  • Experience organizing requirements into user stories supporting defined sprints
  • Demonstrated experience providing overall direction for establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines
  • Expert knowledge of Requirements and workflow analysis; facilitation and coordination of meetings; process reviews, business analysis and modeling; and gap analysis and studies
  • Expert in leading business analysis/design, organizational analysis, stakeholder needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis in an effort to align information technology solutions with business strategies and directions
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with functional groups within IT and internal business clients to develop short- and long-term business transformation plans
  • Extensive knowledge of project management concepts and techniques are required
  • Expert knowledge of systems development lifecycles and organization change management
  • Expert in requirements gathering, with demonstrated understanding of the detail needed for development and testing with the ability to capture and organize in a way that is traceable and consumable for all stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to drive the completion of any needed project deliverables
  • A results driven go-getter with strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills including facilitation and presentation
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership
  • Ability to positively engage, self-motivate and possess a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to complete tasks on set budgetary parameters and targets
  • Must be analytical, results-driven, and able to employ the right approach and methods to make the maximum use of time and resources. Able to address relevant facts, identify alternative approaches, and provide recommended solutions to all stakeholders
