Business Risk and Controls Tester

Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Business Risk and Controls Tester for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation projects and corrective actions
• Conduct independent Deep Dive reviews and assessments to determine root cause(s), assess control environment, escalate issues and identify/monitor remedial actions
• Consult with internal groups such as Firm Operational Risk, Enterprise Operational Risk Control, Compliance, Legal, and other Operations teams
• Prepares and executes control audit testing plans
• Maintain central log of requests and responses
• Participate in the firm's Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program
• Work with business groups and monitor internal/external events
• Coordinate the completion and review of new product risk and control assessments
• Maintain portfolio of policies
• Serve as primary liaison

Requirements:

• Resources are expected to learn quickly and should have audit/testing experience, preferably in Financial Services
• Experience in first line/second line operational and/or compliance based testing experience
• Experience in auditing through a third line of defense; audit experience (third line of defense)
• Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry (compliance, risk management, or audit operations) and of governing regulatory agencies (Federal Reserve, OCC, CFPB, etc.)
• Needs to be detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness of work in alignment with procedures
• Minimum of four years testing/audit or related experience, preferably in Financial Services
