Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is looking for a Citrix Engineer to work on a contract position with one of our clients located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Citrix Powershell:

  • Implementing VDI
  • MS experience
  • Need to know how to build a Citrix environment (Not just maintain/troubleshoot)
  • Understand all the Citrix components (store front, hosts servers, netscalers, controllers, license server, etc.)
  • Citrix certification is preferred, but not necessary
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an enterprise Citrix XenApp environment with either server or application support is required
  • Knowledge and experience with Driver Management Citrix skills; XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x Administration; Citrix MCS integration with VMWare, VmWare 6.5 + experience Administration Hypervisor; Citrix WEM; Citrix nVidia GRID; and Citrix Director are all required

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and architects the systems infrastructure
  • Manages anti-malware and threat prevention systems, staying current with industry trends and technology Manages backup and recovery operations for the datacenters
  • Interfaces with network and service teams within Information Technology and makes recommendations on process and procedure modifications to properly align department strategic goals
  • Installs and maintains infrastructure systems hardware and software, including servers, storage and infrastructure applications in accordance with established operational standards
  • Maintains datacenter operations and controls
  • Oversees systems security management throughout and ensures overall departmental compliance
  • Establishes ownership of mission critical line-of-business applications, managing all implementation, support and enhancement efforts therein
  • Leads technology audit efforts for all in-scope compliance regulations
  • Contributes revisions and additions to systems configuration procedures and practices
  • Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation
  • Serves in a Tier-2 support role within the Information Technology support structure
  • Adheres to established support and escalation procedures and maintains in-depth incident and resolution documentation
  • Demonstrates a high level of service and accountability in the process of resolving requests, supporting daily operations and meeting customer needs
  • Establishes technical credibility and provides leadership to junior support staff
  • Participates in team on-call rotation, and must be available for emergency support responsibilities 24x7
  • Performs additional related duties, as required

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server and Client and related technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of datacenter operations, and storage networks'
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies, with a focus on VMware and Hyper-V
  • Advanced knowledge of network and operating system security, firewalls, anti-malware, and provisioning resource access
  • Thorough understanding of network topologies and operation
  • Basic understanding of project management
  • Demonstrate extensive experience administering core Microsoft technologies such as IIS, clustering, SQL databases, Exchange and System Center product lines
  • Demonstrate experience supporting line of business applications across a client-server topology
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines, as well as multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Demonstrate high level of motivation, initiative and responsibility
  • Demonstrate excellent Time Management skills and knowledge
  • Ability to serve the public and fellow employees with honesty and integrity
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers.
  • Possession of a valid FL Driver's License is required
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is required

  • Microsoft 70-243 Administering and Deploying System Center
  • MDT 2013 - Task sequence creation (Bare Metal, Refresh, Upgrades)
  • MDT and SCCM integration (Creating Task Sequence Encrypting machines during OSD)
  • SCCM User Driven Installation (Task Sequence Wizard, Custom Front Ends)
  • Windows 7 and Windows 10 Deployments
  • Reporting Experience either SSRS and SQL Report Builder
  • Application Packaging/Re-Packaging
  • Flexera Admin Studio
  • PowerShell and/or VB Scripting Experience (for use in customizing the Task Sequences and creating application packages)
  • Microsoft Security Patching using WSUS and SCCM Integration
  • Citrix Certification
