Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Clinical Implementation Specialist for an opportunity to work with a client in Fort Lauderdale, FL.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and potentially assists in testing all new versions of the Clinical Information Systems before implementation at sites. Follow testing plan as designed
  • Screens and prioritizes all requests and implements in an efficient and timely manner
  • Review and update all remedy related items to production open, current build and specific projects
  • Collaborates with all departments to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide prompt, courteous, professional and accurate information in all communications in dealing with physicians and other departments
  • Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of EMRs, interface systems and interface projects
  • Demonstrates a commitment to department objectives through consistent patterns of work behavior and positive representation
  • Responds to the department needs by accepting additional assignments, which may or may not be related to the job's primary responsibilities to ensure the continuity of department services
  • Responsible for all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others
  • Stay current with HIPPA guidelines and ensures that the Clinical Information Systems are compliant with these guidelines
  • Maintain up to date compliance training as required
  • Expedite all incoming questions/problems generated by the hospital staff, vendors and physicians regarding clinical information systems and facilitates resolutions
  • Provide a standard resolution process working with manager to maintain consistency throughout the implementation process.
  • Provides ongoing education through webinars, on-site training sessions, E-mail, follow-up phone calls, educational handouts, etc.
  • Perform in-depth tests, including unit and integration testing for new implementations and version upgrades
  • Develop and maintain documentation, client configuration, business rules, etc. as specified for each customer
  • Directly and remotely support the physicians and clinical staff in the use of the software
  • Act as an expert resource for Help Desk, Tech Support and other departments in all functional and content areas associated with a clinical system implementation project
  • Assist developers and analyst
  • Assess current workflows and validating proposed future states meet the needs of the functional, clinical and operational teams
  • Facilitates the updates to the system as required to keep lists current and standardized amongst facilities

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven technical proficiency and knowledge
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at varying levels of the organization

  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Efficiently works under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree (medical technology preferred, respiratory therapy, nursing or related scientific discipline) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five years related experience (clinical experience preferred)
  • Project management skills/experience highly desirable
