Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Data Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Chesterfield, MO.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as champion for data analytics, including: identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in data sets over time

  • Explain data research and findings in a clear and straightforward manner to assist leadership in prioritizing business and information needs

  • Gain understanding of existing data management processes, stored procedures, inter dependencies, and functions with a goal of identifying opportunities for potential enhancements, improvements, and redevelopment

  • Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reporting and analysis of key metrics

  • Solve business problems with a moderate level of complexity; analyze possible solutions using technical experience, judgement, and precedent

  • Translate raw data files by analyzing, mapping, and testing for validity and accuracy prior to loading into downstream processes

  • Write and execute data queries to get results for needed analysis, validity, and accuracy testing

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in financial services and/or insurance

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Progress toward FLMI, ALHC, or another relevant professional accreditation

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic-level skills in the following:

    • Microsoft Word

    • Microsoft Outlook

  • Intermediate-level skills in the following:

    • SQL and query skills

    • Investigative skills

    • Goal-setting

  • Advanced-level skills in the following:

    • Microsoft Excel

    • Oral and written communication

    • Analytical and problem-solving

  • Ability to:

    • Balance detail with departmental goals/objectives

    • Be flexible/adaptive to change

    • Multi-task

    • Persuade others

    • Read and interpret treaty language and apply it appropriately

    • Share and impart knowledge

    • Take initiative and be accountable

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced query skills

  • Complex analytical/problem-solving skills

  • Experience with data management and/or visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, Informatica, Python, etc.)
