Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Data Controls Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.


  • Assume ownership of current Treasury Data Management controls across multiple Banking / Treasury / Traded products
  • Involved with daily/monthly controls and governance routines supporting the completeness and accuracy of data consumed by downstream stakeholders
  • Contribute to multiple internal work streams in support of Treasury initiatives including but not limited to Liquidity reporting (Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), FR2052a (Fed 5G), Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) as well as Capital and Balance Sheet Management
  • Responsible for consistent, timely, and accurate delivery of controls results providing product and technical expertise
  • Manage relationships with business partners (Data Stewards, Treasury Business stakeholders, Technology, Governance) to ensure compliance with data quality and data fit for use requirements
  • Responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing and implementation of Data Quality, Data Validation, and reconciliation controls
  • Ensuring process controls, data validation activities, and measurement processes remain timely and relevant
  • Create and maintain required documentation and evidence to ensure adherence to EDM Standards
  • Work under minimal supervision on Corporate Treasury projects that require creative solutions and, possibly, automated solutions
  • Improving Treasury Data Management functions for production, data governance, data change and regulatory/audit activities

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree / or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years bank experience, or other data control environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Power Point) including advanced excel functions such as pivot tables, Vlookup and Microsoft Visual Basic (VBA) to supplement SQL skills in data analysis exercises
  • Hands-on experience querying and analyzing large sets of data using SQL
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be creative, and be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities skills needed to perform complex data analysis
  • Must possess very strong communication skills with teammates and leadership within Treasury Data Management (TDM)
  • Ability to create executive-ready presentations
  • Ability to work independently and take lead on addressing issues

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge and prior experience with Liquidity Reporting / Regulatory reporting
  • Basic working knowledge of Tableau
  • Strong knowledge and prior experience with Data Controls monitoring and/or Data Control governance practices
  • Familiarity with BAC Enterprise Data Management Policy & Standards
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio) - pivot tables, Vlookups/Sumifs - & SQL
  • Data Analyst Experience (Acceptable experience includes - Financial Data Reporting, Data Governance or Data Control)
  • Banking or Financial Experience
