Data Governance Analyst

Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Data Governance Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with business and technology subject matter experts to understand and interpret logical and physical metadata into governance and catalogue tooling
• Undertake analysis to support scoping of data governance initiatives
• Lead teams of business and technology teams to achieve governance of Key Data Elements
• Effectively utilizing the navigation features in data governance and cataloguing tools to guide users through a compelling metadata-driven governance use case/initiative
• A background in delivering data initiatives in Agile tooling (e.g Azure DevOps, Jira)
• Confident communicator with experience in working closely with stakeholders of all levels including the ability to advise, train and support
• Able to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced team
• Creating a compelling business case leading to senior sponsorship at the senior manager level for Data Management improvements that can deliver the performance benefits of being truly data-driven

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years financial industry experience required preferably with Finance, Tech or Data role
• Detail oriented with the ability to handle a variety of tasks; works in a self-directed manner and takes a proactive approach to job responsibilities
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, manage complexity and deliver solutions on deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Experience in performing data analysis tasks
• Demonstrated passion for intellectual curiosity and accuracy as well as the ability to research issues and identify root cause and patterns
• Collaboration and teamwork skills required
• Spreadsheet skills, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic for MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
