Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Director of I.T. Innovation & Strategy for an opportunity with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.


  • Strategic Alignment and understanding of the goals of the company and needs of the business owners
  • Collaborates regularly across all business areas
  • Develops measurement plans with customized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) required to track innovation success and alignment with global vertical strategy
  • Define, design and deploy innovation strategy through industry research as well as strong awareness of technology capabilities across similar business models
  • Champions innovation across the brand to enhance customer experience, improve revenue, lower costs and or improve employee productivity
  • Lead and assists in the evaluation of third-party and or vendor provided software & solutions for deployment across the enterprise
  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services & Innovation through definition, oversight and implementation of service level agreements across all new business models and platform integration's
  • Keeps up-to-date on information and technology solutions across various industries
  • Aligns business goals and needs through deployment of existing applications functionality or assisting with the development of new functionality
  • Participate in tactical and strategic planning for IT
  • Drives strategy development, solution discovery, service management and project execution
  • Reviews, analyzes, and assists with defining business applications and modification requirements to systems
  • Prepares key technical inputs for steering committee level and strategic planning sessions and actively participates during these session
  • Identifies key business challenges and recommends solutions
  • Collaborates across IT with enterprise architecture, software development, security and infrastructure to align on recommendations for solutions
  • Provides direction and oversight for innovation projects from concept through completion (creating scope, requirements, user scenarios, testing, implementation, and user acceptance)
  • Works with stakeholders to understand project scope, timeline and priority, and recommend innovation solutions to meet organizational goals
  • Optimize process for receiving and assigning requests, and setting and managing correct expectations with business owners thru timely and accurate communications
  • Ensures initiatives meet required deadlines, scope, budget, quality, and other measures of success commitments for projects, maintenance, and enhancements and services availability
  • Maintains strong vendor relationships to keep apprised of new products, versions and releases
  • Manages vendors and consultants through detailed goal and milestone setting, open communication and timely status updates to meet desired quality deliverables that meet internal standards
  • Exercises the authority of a Director concerning hiring, performance improvement plans/ reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations


  • Requires previous experience as a Manager and/or Director of Innovation
  • Previous experience working for a large organization
  • ]At least 10yrs of experience required
  • Ability to work onsite at least 4 days per week highly preferred
  • Creative, Energetic and an Outgoing personality is extremely important
  • Bachelors or Higher degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, Strategy, Marketing or related fields required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 12+ years' experience managing and /or directing IT Teams, integration and or innovation
  • Relevant digital strategy and experience across mobile, social, analytics, cloud, apps
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
  • Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong Financial exposure and understanding of budgeting, accounting and procurement procedures
  • Strong creative, leadership, and critical thinking skills
