Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a IT Change Manager for an opportunity with a client located in Glen Allen, VA.

Responsibilities::

  • Evaluating change impact risk, alongside organizational readiness to reduce possible risk of implemented changes ensuring that all appropriate actions have been planned and communicated to stakeholders
  • To chair the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting, creating change dockets and reports to present and review planned changes with leadership and implementing teams
  • Ensures that all changes are categorized correctly with appropriate level of detail recorded in the ITSM tool
  • Ensure that affected CIs and services are correctly identified and listed
  • Ensure that the CMDB is updated following any change which alters a CI or service
  • Responsible for managing the process end to end for tracking changes across controlled environments
  • Review all implemented changes to ensure successful implementation and implementing remediation actions when issues are identified
  • Perform monthly change audits to ensure compliance of the Change Management policy
  • Perform trend analysis of changes, identifying candidates for standard changes
  • Assist in CMDB audits to ensure integrity and accuracy of recorded CIs
  • Provides guidance on all ITIL and ITSM processes used

Requirements/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field or equivalent work experience, including military experience
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations required; additional ITIL certifications preferred
  • Familiarity and certification on IT and business governance frameworks such as COBIT and SOX a plus
  • Insurance certifications or affiliation with industry group a plus
  • At least three years of experience in a technical field
  • Prior experience in Service Management or governance role preferred
  • Insurance industry background preferred
  • Ability to articulate service management issues in plain language based on audience
  • Ability to build relationships and become a trusted advisor to IT and business partners
  • Delivery of high-quality presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, collect and analyze data to improve performance in one or more process areas
  • Prior experience using ServiceNow ITSM tool preferred
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and individually
  • Shows flexibility and attention to details
  • Strong desire for continuous improvement
