Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Logistics and Procurement Specialist for an opportunity with a client located in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates import/export and logistics matters and makes sure to be Compliant with International Rules and Regulations

  • Classifies cargo based on Harmonized System

  • Request and follow up on Customs clearance and container receiving process

  • Negotiates with suppliers to alleviate or resolve billing issues and/or delivery problems

  • Manages the claim process from filing documentation to settlement

  • Maintains proactively the purchase orders to ensure that the dates/quantities are correct

  • Purchases product that conforms to all specified purchase order

  • Prepares order for entry along with managing all associated documents and correspondence

  • Review Purchase Orders for substitutions and cost variances

  • Collaborates with sales team and customers to resolve issues surrounding the import/export of products globally

  • Collaborates with sales team for updates on factory order statuses, and ETAs to port of general stock

  • Collaborates with sales operations team and senior management for product forecasting

  • Consolidation of relevant factory data in preparation for forecasting and sales meetings

  • Informs, updates and provides feedback to sales team and upper management

  • Analyzes information from Suppliers, production plant, ports and brokers to allocate and plan products delivery to customers and creates report as required

  • Creates and presents process documentation as required

  • Uses system generated reports or develops effective reports that tracked order status and flag potential issues with orders that may have cause delays or other customer complaints

  • Reviews and approves Invoices

  • Ensures that necessary databases, spreadsheets, reports, and records for products control are maintained


Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years previous experience required in a related role

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Proficient in English

  • Bachelor's (Required)

  • Logistics: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Procurement management: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Supply chain: 1 year (Preferred)
