Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an M&A Integration Engineer for an opportunity with a client located in Marvin, NC. Our client is looking for the ideal candidate who will be able to coordinate and work with different partners across the organization. In this role, it is critical to meet expectations and deliverables within the defined timelines. This is a 6 month contract that can be renewed for another 6 months. This position will not be converted to an FTE (Full Time Employee). Remote work is allowed for this position.


  • Develop close working relationships with key leaders and stakeholders in acquired businesses
  • Understand and communicate their concerns, motivations and needs through the integration process, to ensure the maximum benefit of the acquisition is realized and business momentum in retained/increased.
  • Develop close working relationships with key personnel
  • Manage the hand over from the M&A team to the local team and integration team, post close
  • Ensure a detailed plan for the integration of each acquisition is developed and agreed to by key stakeholders, including establishing integration objectives and KPIs
  • Ensure the integration plan covers all aspects of the business and is maintained and managed entirely through to completion
  • Ensure key risks as identified in DD are captured and resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure integration plans and progress is kept updated

  • Establish such forums as may be necessary to ensure key stakeholder are kept abreast of progress and any material changes to the plan, and the plan is delivered to timeline
  • Reporting of integration over 12 months post close, against synergy targets, budgets and other financial and non-financial metrics
  • Project Issues resolution
  • Take ownership of all key issues that arise during the integration and ensure they are appropriately resolved Such issues will often require heavy personal involvement, not simply 'allocation' to a department


  • Proven record of successful Directory Migrations using tools like Quest Migration Manager (preferred) or Microsoft ADMT
  • Strong Technical and Operational knowledge of Active Directory/Azure Active Directory and related MS technologies such as Kerberos/NTLM, DFS, DNS, LDAP, GPO, AD Connect, AD Trusts, Federation, DNS, DHCP
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot Directory/Authentication problems, ability of escalating problems to external support vendors. Strong technical knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Client and Server)
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell is the required language, Quest the preferred Active Directory Shell commands for Quest ActiveRoles)
  • Good understanding of Active Directory Schema, OU design, AD replication topology and DC backup/restore procedures
  • Essential knowledge of Infrastructure (VMWare and Hyper-V) and Networking. Access controls management, delegation principles and common security capabilities such as VPN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security and SIEM
  • Autonomous in task execution, detailed-oriented, diligent, customer-focused with a clear sense of urgency's and priorities. Excellent at working within project teams.
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, vulnerabilities and investigations
  • Security conscious system administration, strictly following company and regulatory policies

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT technical/IT Security, or related, field or the recognized equivalent in work experience or self-study
  • 5+ years of global Active Directory Enterprise administration and migrations.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting and Group Policy (GPO) for Task Automation

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Microsoft Certification on Active Directory (MCSA, MCSE, MCITP:EA or higher)
  • Experience on following technologies is a plus: Okta, Azure AD/Office 365, PAM (CyberArk), Quest/One Identity solutions (Active Role Server, Quest Reporter, Recovery Manager, Migration Manager, Identity Manager)
