Network Engineer/Analyst (Onsite in Chicago)

Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Network Engineer/Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Westmont, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and monitoring network performance
• Providing network support and resolving connectivity issues
• Configuring hardware and software to optimize network communication
• Setting up LAN and WAN networks, as well as Voice Over IP and VTC devices
• Managing IP addresses and resolving conflicts
• Monitoring and maintaining network servers and performing upgrades
• Performing system administration tasks and ensuring network security
• Documenting processes and monitoring network performance metrics
• Consulting with internal departments and training IT support staff
• Keeping up with advancements in network technologies and solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years in the support of an enterprise network platform in a 24x7 environment, including platforms such as Route Switch, Wireless and Security
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting network infrastructure platforms such as Cisco Switches, ASR and ISR routers, VPN and Wireless Flex Connect
• 2-5 years of experience as a network analyst, or similar
• In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and network installation techniques
• Exceptional ability to provide network support and resolve errors
• Extensive experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems such as Cisco Systems and Juniper
• Advanced knowledge of network setup and security
• Ability to keep up with advancements in IT network technologies
• Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics
• Exceptional communication skills
