Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Network / System Engineer IV for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the experience of stake holders who need IP addresses to run business and/or grow customer base
  • Working with IP Control System Engineering team to streamline container hierarchy, block types, populate IP blocks in logical and/or device containers via IP Control configuration, policy setting, and/or router subnet discovery on IP blocks
  • Work with various technical teams (CBO, DOCSIS, NDC/RDC, Wi-Fi, ISP and etc.) responsible for network migration, capacity augmentation, network integration, and IP Operations team members to make sure container hierarchy and IP blocks in IP Control are in sync with changing and very dynamic production networks
  • Streamlining IP management functions to enable better IPv4 utilization, and more robust IPv6 addressing architecture
  • Develop scripts and software tools for IPv4 and IPv6 data analysis, build dashboard for IPv6 and IPv4 traffic ratio for both internal and external traffic
  • Provides IP request and/or reclaim tier support across different lines of business (DOCSIS, Commercial Business, Video, Voice, Wi-Fi, Data Center, and etc.)
  • Help define best practices of manage IPv4 and IPv6 address allocation and consumption
  • Lead the development and documentation of technical standards
  • Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding IP Control planning, configuration and optimization
  • Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead
  • Lead IP Control system integration with Charter OSS/BSS such as CNR, Granite, Home World, and CA-Spectrum Multicast Manager. Work with Charter provisioning team for integration with DNS and DHCP. The task includes collecting requirements and authoring detailed specification, and manage the implementation.
  • Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding IP Control planning, configuration and optimization
  • Provides tier support across different verticals in NetOPs organizations
  • Support MAP-T project team to ensure scalable deployment, minimal customer impact, and ease of identifying customer account based on the shared IPv4 address and in-use port number
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and / or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum six (6) years of system/network engineering experience
  • Minimum four (4) years experience with Cisco/Juniper
  • Minimum four (4) years of Data network experience
