Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Project Manager for an opportunity with an client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.


  • Responsible for organizing our clients' technical projects and ensuring that all members of the operating team work efficiently
  • Assemble the project team, identify competencies, and assign resources to development tasks appropriate to everyone's knowledge, skill, and abilities
  • Collaborate with application and development teams to develop work scopes, tasks, budgets, schedules, progress reports and requirements
  • Work with clients to obtain application needs and/or content, other needed deliverables, and approvals
  • Identify and manages project dependencies and critical path
  • Conduct risk assessments for projects
  • Gather software requirements, and manage both requirements and issues
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project, as needed
  • Create and maintain project documentation that communicates project's tasks and schedule, risk register, communication plan, milestone dates, status report, budget, and resource allocation
  • Monitor and track project progress and project performance
  • Ensure that project progress it's on schedule with approved timeline
  • Communicate effectively with the Applications Support Manager and project stakeholder's project progress, risks, and issues. Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development
  • Ensure adherence to standards, policies and procedures
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to project stakeholders/end users
  • Manage the development of project teams by ensuring that project tasks are in line with each team member's career interests
  • Ensure that all necessary project documentation including, but not limited to, final drawings/plans, manuals and warranties are received at project close-out
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, project meetings and other activities and events, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of client's offerings, technical preferences, and technical direction
  • Considerable knowledge of different operation systems, network administration, and service desk administration
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in information systems technology
  • Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrate excellent Time Management knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines, as well as multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to define project scope and deliverables that support project's goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including end user stakeholders, upper management, and other departments
  • Ability to diffuse tension among project team, should it arise
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
  • Attend meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions and professional growth
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in related field is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working for mid-large organizations, is required
  • An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or experience
  • Understanding of software development life cycle models, as well as expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management practices
  • Possession of a valid FL Driver's License is required
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency using the Microsoft office products
