Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a QA Lead for an opportunity with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the entire product development cycle and get clear understanding of all features in software and provide feedback
  • Adapt to rapid deployment cycles and changes in testing patterns
  • Perform exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented. Find additional or unexpected behavior and refine and define additional test cases for the feature
  • Develop, publish, execute and maintain functional/Regression test cases/ Suites, test plan and test strategy.
  • Perform performance, scalability, security, and usability testing to ensue non-functional requirements are also met
  • Create, maintain and report qualitative and quantitative metrics and communicate necessary risk to manager and project leads on timely fashioned
  • Analyzes, tracks, and reports on application issue and maintains documentation on project issues and defect metrics
  • Maintain a team player approach to co-workers and maintain a professional manner at all times
  • Demonstrate good customer service skills at all times
  • Actively participate in requirement review, Design review, test case coverage review, estimation, test plan review , test case reviews, Production planning reviews, defect reviews
  • Provide technical guidance to QA team and be bridge for QA between developments, BA, App Support and PM when needed
  • Lead multiple QA projects with hands on testing activities and by reviewing testing activates of offshore team
  • Track team progress using Jira Dashboard. Create and maintenance Dashboard for Project work
  • Oversee the testing and implementation of all information systems, databases, patches, and environments ensuring no products are delivered without Quality Assurance oversight
  • Ensure appropriate version control of systems is in place. Ability to troubleshoot environmental issues for API, Web Application related deployments
  • Promote Quality Assurance best practices by staying abreast of promising and proven methods and techniques
  • Utilize knowledge and experience to constantly improve new and existing systems in Information Services
  • Enforce White box testing via code review for Complex Systems
  • Conduct training and establish communication to project teams, IT and software developers to ensure consistency and compliance with QA testing procedures
  • Assist in documenting, and improving Company Quality Assurance testing standards, tools, procedures, and guidelines while considering manual testing, automated testing and framework based testing options
  • Ensure that server information, Application information, System integration diagrams, application access level and procedures to get the access are up to date in SharePoint portal
  • Have strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and able to resolve any technical conflicts


Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • MS in Computer is Plus
  • 6+ years of experience as a QA engineer with Strong automation experience
  • Development Experience is big plus
  • Needs to have Web Services Testing/API testing/Back-End testing experience
  • Must be able to show strong QA characteristics at all levels - Requirements gathering, test methodology, execution, release
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, is comfortable reaching out across teams as needed for clarification, etc. (Candidate will need to represent QA in agile teams)
  • Must have excellent SQL skills for backend testing
  • Experience in planning, documenting, and reviewing test cases/suites
  • Experience with manual and automated functional and regression testing
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to translate (interpret/examine) requirements and troubleshoot issues
  • Significant experience testing cross browser web applications
  • Excellent culture fit and ability to collaborate with the team
  • Experience in Banking or eComerce IT testing


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology
  • Working knowledge of virtual machine environments
  • Exposure to and understanding of XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with other automation test tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, or other
