Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a QA Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, development and execution of manual and automated test cases as part of the feature and functional test activity for cloud-based software applications and Mobile apps
  • Interact and collaborate primarily with QA test team members, as well as Development Engineering and Product Management to develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases
  • Test and debug activities will be executed per project plans and schedules, while adhering to defined quality requirements and reported through established tracking tools and systems
  • Analyze product requirements from a customer viewpoint and make suggestions based on gap analysis
  • Write test plans, cases and conditions to ensure effective test coverage based on product requirements for cloud-based software applications and Mobile apps
  • Execute test cases, at black-box, grey-box, and white-box levels
  • Mentor and collaborate with other testers in test procedures, processes and best practices
  • Participate in the development of test project goals, scope, estimates and plans
  • Collaborate with other testers in test procedures, process and best practices
  • Work closely with Development, Product Management and QA Test leadership to develop an applicable test approach and strategy for both specific products and product lines
  • Execute long duration tasks and assignments according to project plans, to meet schedule, resource and quality requirements
  • Log and track defects using the designated tracking system and tools
  • Identify risks and dependencies of the product and subsystems, prioritize the effort, and deliver the project on time and according to milestones, specifications and defined quality standards
  • Engage in test result analysis and test report creation


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or Related Technical Field required
  • Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or Related Technical Field is a plus
  • 5 - 8 years of related experience

  • Proven demonstration of leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute software test strategies and test cases
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum/DevOps development methodology
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based applications, SQL, and Windows GUI
  • Experience in Functional, Integration, System, Regression, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End System Integration Testing
  • Experience in Manual and Automation Testing
  • Established expertise in test methodologies and techniques
  • Demonstrated command and experience working with JIRA highly desired
  • Solid understanding of API Testing and API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, Apigee, Tricentis) highly desired
  • Experience in Scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Shell, etc.), highly desired
  • Experience in code development (C, C++, C#, Java, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience with the test automation technology and automated test tools (Selenium, TestComplete, QTP/UFT, Rational Functional Tester) is a plus
  • Experience in configuring, troubleshooting and testing TCP/IP and UDP based network devices is a plus
  • Experience in network protocols such as SNMP, IPMI, SMTP, and LDAP is a plus
  • Strong understanding of database architecture/concepts is a plus
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work with senior leaders to establish strategies.
  • A solid working knowledge of metrics and models in product quality engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques
  • Demonstrated command and experience working with Test and Defect Management/Workflow tools
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) and testing process
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills in English. Other languages are a plus
