Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Staff Accountant for an opportunity with a client located in Plano, TX. Our client is looking for the ideal candidate who has experience with GAAP including revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and financial statement review.


  • Book various closing entries and accrual entries
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare account/bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and manage prepaid expense schedules
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
  • Complete various schedules supporting corporate financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities and avoiding late fees
  • Verify federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks
  • Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
  • Insure credit is received for outstanding memos
  • Issue voids or purchase order amendments and requesting stop-payments from treasury
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Communicate with vendors, employees, auditors and others to resolve payables matters
  • Maintains up-to-date vendor documentation including contracts and W-9's
  • Processes 1099's and other year-end related activities
  • Prepares and sends out sublease invoices to tenants
  • Makes remote daily deposits, posts into NetSuite and provides to Revenue Cycle team
  • Review rent expense and prepaid monthly after rents are paid
  • Managing AMEX employee p-card process, gathering information timely and processing in NetSuite
  • Managing vendors and invoice data into Mineral Tree
  • Reviews with Controller AP Aging and payment reports weekly & processes check runs
  • Manage and run the payroll process using ADP semi-monthly, or any potential off-cycles
  • Constant communication with managers to ensure employee time or time-off requests are approved for each payroll cycle
  • Track special payouts by having full documentation in an organized fashion for each payroll run

Required Experience:

  • Degree (preferably in Accounting or Business) and/or 2+ years accounting experience
  • Healthcare multi-facility experience
  • Prior Accounts Payable experience required
  • Data Entry Skills (NetSuite, Mineral Tree & ADP)
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivots, vlookup, ect)
  • Microsoft Office software competency
